Slacker/Airhead: Meet The Fame Monster.

The interesting thing about Lynn is that as a rather prickly woman named Jan Wong once observed, she appears to have let fame make her into something of a monster. I should think that most of the trouble she has dealing with family members seems to stem from having her fame go straight to her head and unleashing the obnoxious jerk she secretly wanted to be instead of the timid, Lizzie-like figure she'd been up until then.

The reason that I mention this is that when you start with someone who's basically a massive weeping dick like Mike and give him celebrity status, it seems kind of likely that the results aren't going to be pretty...especially when becoming a star means forgetting valuable life skills like 'not aspirating on your own vomit when sleeping' or 'remembering that there's only a finite amount of money in the world'. This is where Deanna comes in handy; what looks like servility is actually her exercising the need to dominate another person because she holds her idiot husband's life in her hands. Sure, he's a shit to everyone around him but without her, he'd be fucking dead and that makes it all worth it.

If memory serves me correctly, the last strip we see in the last treasury ever is the one in which Mike proves himself not to be as mature as Elly…

  • On the probable end of the notes.

As we all know, Lynn seems to have gotten into the habit of having her website changed over the Christmas holidays. It was two years ago or so that…
