Meet The Placeholder

Since it's fairly obvious that Lynn has what we ight call retrograde opinions as regards what life should be like, it seems somewhat obvious that she probably doesn't share the general opinion that April had a happy ending because she escaped the shackles of servitude to Elly's yawning id for an extended period. Had the strip continued, her eventual destiny would, of course, be a demonstration that half-witted mothers who are what we might call Sesame Street smart know better about how people should live despite being too stupid to breath without a spotter. This means cutting off her nose to spite her face and marrying Gerald to give a middle finger to a woman who means her no harm.

This behooves us to ask what matter of man she's going to waste her life servicing. The answer is not much of a man at all. All I see is someone oafish and slug-like who snows dull-witted needy people with shiny beads, shallow flattery and a cease and desist order from the Walt Disney Company for plagiarizing a late-season episode of MASH. She'd be better off with Jeffo's left bollock with a smiley-face painted on it. Too bad that she shares Liz's stupid need to ingratiate herself with a mother who'd rather die than admit that children made her life better.
