Meet The Pace Car

We are on the verge of finally transitioning from "Gordon has a doomed crush on Alyson" to "Oh, if only Gordon and Tracey could see that they are so perfect for one another" as the dominant theme for his story arc. What this means is that she's turning from character into plot device so that two crazy kids can be an object lesson about how dumb children don't know love when it's staring them in the face. It's sort of sad because she has almost less character development than Leah Nichols of the six fingers....and that's saying something.

What Lynn misses out when eventually dismissing her as a vain, superficial twit who valued looks over substance is that Gordon tended to advertise who he was. It's really hard to forget some goof in a ball cap yelling that before you filled out, you were on the same level as chipped beef as a potential love interest and harder still to forget loud screaming about hormone attacks. Tolerating the person who does them just isn't in the cards....not that Gord sees it. I should think that high school reunions are blighted by Tracey pretty much having to channel Therese.
