The haters: Lynn's real legacy.

As we all know, the Washington Post recently ran an article on those of us who snark Foob. This is because the author, like a lot of people, is disappointed with the slow-speed train wreck the strip was allowed to become. He too remembered a time when the Pattersons had started to transcend the dickish behavior of the early years and lost patience with them when they'd devolved into the freaks we see now. This is the sad cost of Lynn's refusal to leave when it was obvious that her talent was deserting her. Instead of being known as someone who went out at the top of her game, she's known for the number of disgruntled ex-fans who dissect her work. What makes her all the more irritating, ridiculous and pathetic is her inability to acknowledge that she's running on fumes. She seems unaware that a lot of newspaper editors will take her proud challenge to knock her off the page at face value.
