Whither Thelma Baird..............

As you know, Lynn commissioned a biography for Mrs. Baird, the woman who owned Farley's mother. We were given an extensive look into who she was and how she wound up in Milborough. It seemed obvious at the time that this meant that it appeared so that the people who didn't see the strip from the beginning would know who the old lady was when the thing went into reprints. Now that the new-runs with their lack of attention to the strip's chronology have appeared, all bets are off. It might be that she'd vanish from history, thereby becoming a hybrid of an old lady and the long-dead one she was in 2008, so that Lynn might promote adopting animals from shelters. She'd then join Pete Landry in the Land of Deleted Characters.
