The invisble children: Mike's absence from Farley's training.

As we all know, Lynn is slowly losing the ability to have more than two characters at a time interact with one another. Nearly every strip of the Declining Years had one character and one character alone reacting to the behavior of another. This failure of the imagination has seemingly carried over into the era of the new-run. This is why Michael has been absent from most of the new-runs about Farley's training. Lynn wants to tell is that Elly is having a difficult time with the dog because this is the first pet she's had in her life. To tell us that Mike is having an easier time because he has fewer preconceptions about dogs requires another series of strips because she's lost the ability to tell us two things at once.
