It occurs to me that I may have unjustly maligned Deanna in some of my posts, describing her as a clingy ,off-her-rocker, dependent child bride. The key to understanding her is, oddly enough, found in looking at Lynn's tradition thinking. You'd always see one woman who married a complete no-hoper, kinda like Michael, eyes wide open, in the mostly vain hope that she could the the human rubbish heap and turn him into a solid citizen. Some of these ladies seemed to succeed, but not in the way they intended. After all, you can't grow a conscience in anyone past kindergarten; the most you can hope for is to encourage good behaviour by negative reinforcement. This would end up making the Noble scribe Red Green to Deanna's Bernice.
