Creeping zombification.....

As you know, one of the many reasons that the new-ruins fail to please is that the art styles are totally different. I've mentioned Lynn's love of the straight-edge and silhouette but I have yet to discuss the lack of affect the new-ruin people have. It amazes me that people think that the old-run Pattersons with their exaggerated reactions and fluidly moving bodies are the same people as the stiff-moving, expressionless zombies that stare off into new-ruin space. Last week's trip to the park was a case in annoying point as the kids stood there like mannequins. This is, of course, because Lynn can't quite remember her children at play and is either too proud or embarrassed to ask friends to remind her how things work.
