A Hybrid previewed or The shape of Foobs to come....

Now that we're in for a week-long sneak peak at the new format, I can say without much fear of contradiction I'm not at all impressed. Not only do we have a not-at-all impartial narrator in Michael, who would doubtless warp the impressionable minds of his children by making them drink the Mikerobe Kool-Aid, (i.e. April killed Farley, Lizardbreath is breathing MY air, the little fink, I AM SO GREAT, Blah Blah Blah) we also have to mentally prepare ourselves for the difference in drawing styles between classic material and the current stuff. One thing you'll have to admit is that the Pattersons of the early eighties were drawn in a much more cartoony style than they are now and the difference between old Elly and Modern Elly would be jarring. I don't really foresee the hybrid doing at all well and have the sneaking fear it might soon be dropped from most markets.
